Pumpkin Patch 2007
We are noted for our Pumpkin Patch, which is held in October of each year. There is Storytime for children from the area Head Start programs, Pre-kindergarten, Kindergarten and Elementary schools through third grade. The children are told a story about Pumpkins, do dances and exercises and each is given a pumpkin cookie and juice. Afterwards they are allowed to pick their very own pumpkin. These activities are held on weekdays, starting at 9:45 A.M. On Saturdays, there is Playland where the children can play games, do face painting, crafts and purchase lunch. There is a Country Store open every day from 10:00AM until dark. Pumpkins are for sale every day from 10:00AM until dark. Proceeds go to our church ministries as well as several local charities.

Pumpkin Patch Storytime
Welcome to the 2007 Pumpkin Patch Storytime at First United Methodist Church in Thibodaux. We look forward to seeing you again this October.
Pumpkin Patch Storytime provides students with an educational experience. Students will be involved in music, imagination, listening skills, imagery, following directions and creative stimulation. Our storytellers will have another new special story for all students and will talk about fall harvest and pumpkins.
The $3.00 fee per student will include storytime, cookie, punch, and a small pumpkin for each child to take home. Adults and chaperones may order refreshments for $1.00. Please call the church office at 447-4287 from 8:30AM to 12:00 PM and ask for "Pumpkin Patch Storytime" to schedule your class. Please provide an approximated count of students when you schedule. Each class scheduled will be contacted before visiting for confirmation and an accurate count of students visiting the pumpkin patch. Extra cookies are not available for purchase the day of your visit.
Our best to all of you as you begin your new school year.
