Chancel Choir
The common threads between the members of the Chancel Choir are the love of music and the desire to serve Christ through dedication of time and musical talents. The goal of the choir is to provide quality music that represents our firm faith in Jesus and to minister to each other in a small group setting.
Membership
in the Cancel Choir is open to all individuals 18 years old and older.
The ability to read music is not a requirement, but is very helpful.
The choir performs a variety of musical styles---from traditional to contemporary. Members are also encouraged to perform solo/small group songs in worship services, as they feel moved.
The choir meets for practice every Wednesday evening from 6-7:15pm. They provide the anthem for the 11:00 worship service each Sunday. They also sing at both services (8:30 and 11:00) for the first Sunday of each month.
In addition to singing for the weekly worship services, the choir performs themed Christmas and Easter Easter Cantatas. These large works are generally performed at a Sunday worship as well as a public performance during the week.
