Confirmation Day with the Bishop

On March 8^th, three of our youth attended "Confirmation Day with the Bishop" workshop at the conference center in Woodworth. This year's theme was discovering How & Why the Connections that we United Methodists have is the best "Hook-up" ever! The day consisted of worship, workshops, and games about our history, missions, and beliefs. More details will follow in next month's Youth Scoop.

The three attendees were Genevieve Sayes, Katelyn Terrell, and Tatum Gehbauer. Their picture can be found on page 2 of the March 21 at edition of the Louisiana Now! newspaper. Confirmation Classes will be held on May 6^th, 13^th, and 20^th at 6:00 p.m. Confirmation will be on Sunday, May 25^th at the II o'clock service. If you would like participate in the confirmation class, please email me.

"Something to talk about"

Tatum Gehbauer was selected to attend the 4-H challenge camp. The camp was held during spring break.

Paige Quibodaux is on the Sixth Ward Middle School track team.

"The Ultimate Gift Project:"

For April, the Youth are asked to read the Gift of Friends. If you did not receive the handouts for this chapter, please email me and I will send them to you. I have bought the DVD of Tile Ultimate Gift to keep in the church .library. If you would like to borrow it, please contact me.

Calendar:

April6^th: Youth meeting, 3·5:00. April 13^th: Youth meeting 3·5:00

April20^th: Youth meeting; time TBA, Graduation Brunch

April 27^th: Crawfish food fest. We will sell the soft drinks for the food fest. Please work one of the two shifts: 10:30 - 12:00 or 12:00 - 1:30. This does count for service hours.

May 4^th: Church Picnic, 4:00 p.m.
